Rainbow Ridge

Rainbow Ridge Resort is located at the north end of Pigeon Forge, close to the Tanger Outlets shopping area, and close to the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River. The roads are paved and relatively flat, presenting no serious driving difficulties in any weather. There are no resort amenities here (such as a pool), but the resort is very nicely landscaped and quite peaceful.

Rainbow Ridge Resort

Rainbow Ridge…Where Luxury Meets the Mountains.

It's in hilly terrain and offers both types of cabin setting, the majority with great views of the mountain ranges, and some with a wooded, parkland feel - be sure to check before booking. Cabins are typically in picturesque settings and with adequate parking. The resort offers a secluded mountain feel, yet with close and easy access to the action.

Parkway is minutes away, with all its attractions readily available, as well as the drive to Gatlinburg and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's worth looking at a map (and don't trust your GPS in these mountains) to see where Ridge Road lies as an alternative north-south route to avoid Parkway. Also look for Veterans Boulevard further to the east as a major route that avoids Parkway traffic.

At this north end of Pigeon Forge, the Rainforest Zoo is fairly close, and the kids will love this place, which is great for the whole family. To the south less than 3 miles lies Dollywood and its Splash Country water park - either Ridge Road or Veterans will bring you there without hitting Parkway. Be aware too of Parrot Mountain a little to the east - this is a totally enchanting gem you all will love, especially on a beautiful day.

From your resort you can easily get to The Island at the north end of Teaster Lane (another back road to know about), which offers the great observation wheel and lots of attractions for kids, as well as the adult games such as shopping, dining, live music and legal moonshine!

For here also you can take Hwy 321 towards Wears Valley, Townsend and the Cades Cove entrance to the national park. All of this area is incredibly scenic. See our numerous Things To Do guides to explore scenic drives and easy walks in nature.

You can also stay in your cabin and enjoy your mountain home away from home. It's your own world in a vacation cabin, with a hot tub on the deck, loads of games and entertainments inside to keep everyone occupied, and a full kitchen for the family to make meals and spend good time together. Cabins offer the best accommodations in the Smoky Mountains, from a couple's romantic getaway to a family reunion or group gathering.
