The Fun of Sevierville, TN

For golfers, the Sevierville Golf Club is rated one of the best courses in Tennessee, and you're less than half an hour away from several other courses that present the well known challenge of Smoky Mountains topography as well as great scenic beauty.

Kodak is just north of Sevierville and is the home of the Tennessee Smokies baseball stadium, while for shopping the Sevierville Tanger outlet mall offers some great choices for shopping. Adjacent to Tanger is the RainForest Adventures Discovery Zoo, one of the finest small zoos in the nation, with a wide array of exotic animals. And while you have the kids excited, take them to the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville where they can learn some history and get hands-on with a fighter plane. And to relax a little or grab some lunch, try the wineries in this area.

Many people like to avoid the traffic that can build up as you get closer to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and Sevierville is well positioned to travel to the eastern and western sides of the national park - see our guide to Shortcuts and Back Roads for tips on how to get to the best places and avoid the crowds.

Head over to Townsend to the west or down towards the Cosby area in the east - places that see less traffic but offer spectacular scenic and natural delights. And don't miss the Foothills Parkway, which offers one of the best panoramas of the Smoky Mountains on a smooth highway.

Vacation Rental Cabins Featuring Great Amenities

Practically every cabin comes with a year-round hot tub on the covered deck, one of the favorite places to relax and gaze at the stunning mountain views and listen to the surrounding woodlands. Many cabins are multi-level and feature several decks. Rocking chairs, swings, and sometimes even an outdoor fireplace, are common features of the semi-wraparound decks.

Inside amenities feature a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, often with bar seating as well as the great table where the entire group can come together. Living space features a fireplace and often cathedral windows for those mountain views, plus a washer and dryer so there's no laundry to take home.

Game rooms keep the kids occupied with a pool table and maybe foosball and other table games, and lots of arcade games. Flat-screen TVs are everywhere you could want one, and usually there's a sound system and Wi-Fi. And for the quiet times, many master bedrooms have Jacuzzis ensuite!

Finally, when the gang is ready to leave the cabin, the national park and the countless fun attractions are just minutes away.
